Unlike chemical pesticides, which are synthetic chemicals designed to kill or repel pests, biological control agents rely on the natural interactions between organisms to regulate pest populations. These agents are often employed in agriculture and horticulture to minimize the impact of pests on crops while reducing the reliance on traditional chemical pesticides.
