GENERAL
(b) work to advance its objects;
(c) comply with the requirements of the Act; and

(3) The proportion of the grant paid for costs incurred by the agricultural society for the exhibition and demonstration of farm improvement competitions and local amateur talent may not exceed one-third of the total grant. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 16, s. 3 (3).
(4) A grant paid in accordance with this section may not exceed $3,000 in a one-year period. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 16, s. 3 (4).
(5) In a year where wet weather causes a decrease in the revenue an agricultural society receives from admission tickets, a grant to the society may be increased by the difference between the admission ticket revenue for that year and 90 per cent of the average admission ticket revenue for the three preceding years of normal weather. (6) The increase described in subsection (5) may not exceed $1,000. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 16, s. 3 (6).
4. (1) A grant paid to an agricultural society for improvements and repairs to the society's land and buildings that will advance or be used to advance the objects of the society shall be equal to 25 per cent of the costs incurred by it for the improvements and repairs in a one-year period. (2) A grant paid in accordance with this section shall not exceed $2,000 in a one-year period. O. Reg. 945/93, s. 2.

6. A centennial grant of $1,500 may be paid to an agricultural society in a year during which the society is observing its 100th anniversary where the society,
(b) has constructed a permanent commemorative structure for the anniversary. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 16, s. 6.
8. In order to receive a grant from the Minister, a horticultural society shall, in the year for which the grant is paid,
(b) work to advance its objects; and
(c) comply with the requirements of the Act. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 16, s. 8.
