This Order, according to Decree-law No. 29/92 of 27 February, establishes sanitary measures to be applied on animals against foot-and-mouth disease. It consists of 34 articles, defining different animal state of health and establishing sanitary measures according to their own state. It provides for animal products, meat, or milk requirements to be placed on the market with sanitary certificate and prohibits the selling of contaminated products. It also prescribes controls to be carried out and sanctions to be applied for offenders.
