Notification No. 2002/68 on substances prohibited to be applied to food-producing animals.

This Notification identifies the pharmacotoxicologically effective substances that have been determined to harm human health, regardless of the level of residues in foodstuffs of animal origin, and prohibits their use in food-producing animals. Article 5 lists the prohibited substances, such as chloramphenicol, furazolidone, nitrofurantoin, chlorpromazine, chloroform, colchicine, dapsone, dimetridazole, metronidazole and ronidazole. The substances listed in this Notification may only be used for research purposes and subject to the permit of the Ministry.
