This Decision provides for the non-inclusion of acephate in Annex I to Directive 91/414/EEC. Subsequently, plant products containing this substance shall not be placed on the market nor used within the Community. Member States shall ensure that: (a) authorizations for plant protection products containing acephate are withdrawn within a period of six months from the date of adoption of this Decision; (b) from the date of adoption of this Decision no authorizations for plant protection products containing acephate will be granted or renewed under the derogation provided for in article 8(2) of Directive 91/414/EEC.
