The present Act establishes the rights, obligations and responsibilities of institutions and persons dealing with waste and waste management operations. The text consists of 79 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Waste management (2); Financial issues (3); Control (4); Penalties (5); Competent authority for offences (6); and Transitional and final provisions (7).
