Decree of 13 December 2002 instituting the “Veredas do Oeste Baiano” Sylvester Wildlife Escape-covert.

This Decree, composed of 4 articles, institutes the “Veredas do Oeste Baiano” Sylvester Wildlife Escape-covert located within the municipalities of Jaborandi and Cocos, in the State of Bahia. The aim of the Decree is to preserve the existing ecosystems, enabling the existence and the reproduction of local flora and fauna species. The Decree stipulates that the land included in the protected area shall be administered by the Brazilian Institute for Environment and Natural Resources (IBAMA).
