This Law concerns the protection, improvement and preservation of quality livestock genetic resources and aims at inducing farmers to increase and improve genetic diversity. It consists of the following Chapters: (I) General provisions; (II) Breeding farms; (III) Breeding programmes and preservation of species; (IV) Genetic improvement in farms; (V) Preservation of genetic diversity; (VI) Marketing of breeding materials; (VII) Responsible authorities; (VIII) Livestock training and research; (IX) Administrative offences; (X) Final provisions.
