The purpose of the present Law is: 1) to conserve and increase forestry lands; 2) to conserve or create a stable tree structure of forests; 3) to protect the forest against harmful effects; 4) to ensure and increase the production of wood with a view to a sustainable development; 5) to conserve and develop forests as living space for wild fauna and wild flora; 6) to afford and improve recreation in forests; 7) to help forest owners to achieve the aims listed in 1 - 6; 8) to harmonize public interests with those of individuals. The text consists of 68 articles divided into 11 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Forestry planning, conservation and protection of forests (II); Management of forests (III); Promotion of forestries and compensation (IV); Special provisions for public forests (V); Special provisions for corporate forests (VI); Special provisions for private forests, common forests and forestry mergers (VII); Special provisions for cooperations (VIII); Tasks and organization of the forest service (IX); Penalties (X); Final provisions (XI). The latest amendments of this Law are provided in Articles 10, 67, 68 & 69.
