This Act provides for the establishment of the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation and defines its internal organization. The Corporation may establish any committee as it considers necessary to assist it in the performance of its functions which are: recommend and implement policies, plans and strategies in respect of solid waste and public cleansing management services; recommend the standards, specifications and codes of practice relating to any aspect of solid waste and public cleansing management services; implement and enforce the solid waste and public cleansing management laws; etc. The Act further provides for: duties of members of the Corporation; appointment of officers and employees; the establishment of the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation Fund.
