This Decision lays down a specific control and inspection programme aimed at ensuring the harmonized implementation of the multiannual recovery plan for bluefin tuna in the eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean adopted by the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) in 2006. This programme applies until 15 March and covers the following activities: a) fishing activities, including bycatches, by fishing vessels and traps; b) catches, landings, transfers, transhipments and caging operations; c) sport and recreational fisheries.
