The present Law aims to: a) maintain, improve and where possible to restore the natural biodiversity and the stock of native fish, crabs and fish bait and their habitats; b) to protect threatened species of fish and crabs; c) to ensure a sustainable use of fish and crab stocks. The text consists of 44 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Fishing leases, fishing patents, free angling (II); Fishing practice (III); Protection of habitats (IV); Survey of catch and stock (V); Promotion of fisheries (VI); Omissis (VII); Offences (VIII); Legal protection (IX); Final provisions (X).
