These Regulations, consisting of 31 sections divided into six Parts, make provision for the transportation of waste. The Regulations set out requirements and procedures for applying for a certificate of registration as a controlled waste handler. The Director must keep a register of registered controlled waste handlers and specify on the registration of controlled waste transporters, producers and facility operators the waste categories that they are authorized to transport, consign or take possession. A registered controlled waste producer or waste agent may apply to the Director for the issue of a controlled waste trafficking certificate. The Regulations provide for tracking obligations of controlled waste producers, waste transporters, waste facility operators and waste agents. The Regulations further provide for: registration certificate fees; collection and disclosure of tracking information; exemptions from the operation of these Regulations; etc.
