These By-laws implement the Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage Act 1909 by prescribing charges and fees for various actions in relation to water supply (Schedule 2), by providing for the testing of water meters and by prescribing fees for the hiring of standpipes for obtaining copies of rating records, meter readings records, plans and diagrams, etc.
