The present Regulation enforces various section of the Green Energy Act, 2009 (S.O. 2009, c 12, Sch. A). In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to general issues of the afore-mentioned Act. For example, section 4 establishes that an organization is designated to test an appliance or product to which the Act applies if the criteria listed in this section are satisfied.
