Decree No. 70/2013 regulating Approval Procedures Projects for the Reduction of Emissions causing Deforestation and Forestry Degradation.

This Decree approves the Procedures Projects for the Reduction of Emissions causing Deforestation and Forestry Degradation (REDD+). This Regulation, consisting of 5 Chapters and 2 Annexes, establishes the institutional framework and competencies, creating the Technical Unit of REDD+ and the Committee for the Revision of the process REDD+, under the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture. It also regulates rights and obligations of the licence owner, the verification and abrogation of the licence, fixing taxes and penalty regime.
