This Ministerial Decree establishes that State Intellectual Property Service shall be authorized state institution (executive body) directly subordinated to the Government, carrying out the functions in the sphere of protection of intellectual property rights. State Intellectual Property Service (Kyrgyzpatent) shall carry out the following tasks: (a) legal protection of intellectual property and traditional knowledge; (b) commercialization of intellectual property; and (c) development of the national patent and technical information.
