The Regulations provide ancillary and supplementary measures necessary for a series of EC Regulations relating to transmissible spongiform encephalopathies to have full effect. They, among other things concern; the placing on the market of animal feed; control of material in contact with animals (including fertilizer); testing of bovines, ovines and caprines; restriction on movement where animal is suspected of being infected with TSE; inspection and genotyping; emergency measures and enforcement.
