The present Agreement between the Cantons Basel Stadt and Basel Landschaft on aircraft noise and the ombudsman for aircraft noise establishes an Aircraft Noise Commission. In particular, the Commission shall, inter alia: a) advise the governments of the cantons Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft in all matters relating to aircraft noise; b) report to the governments of the cantons Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft on a yearly basis on efforts to reduce aircraft noise; c) consider the aircraft noise reports and evaluate noise complaints through the management of the airport.
