The purpose of these Measures is to regulate the routine supervision and inspection of the food production and operation, and ensure the food safety. The Text consist of 36 articles. The Measures are applicable to the daily supervision and inspection of food, special food, food additives, etc., covering food production, sales and catering services. Food and drug supervision and administration departments at city, county level shall, in accordance with the city, county people's government annual food safety supervision and management plan, develop annual routine supervision and inspection plan, and carry out food safety risk management. The State Food and Drug Administration shall work out the key points tables for routine supervision and inspection. The Measures further provides for: the inspection personnel qualification, inspection scope, methods and procedures, the inspection results recording and publishing, etc. In addition, the Measures provide for the offences and penalties.
