Measures for the Implementation by Competent Environmental Protection Departments of Limiting and Halting Production for Remediation.

These Measures are formulated in accordance with the Environmental Protection Law. The Measures consist of 22 articles divided into 4 Chapters: Overall Provisions (I); Scope of Application (II); Implementation Procedures (III); Supplementary Provisions (IV). Where a polluter exceeds the standard of pollutant discharge or exceeds the daily maximum allowable total emission control index of key pollutants, the competent department of environmental protection may order it to take measures to restrict production. Article 6 provides for the circumstances under which the competent environmental protection authorities may order to take measures to stop production.
