This Regional Decree establishes that protection area of the national park “Shushensky Bor” was established for the following purpose: (a) prevention of unfavorable anthropogenic impact on the natural complexes of the national park; (b) performance of activities aimed at the conservation and restoration of wild fauna and wild flora populations; (c) forest management and forest fire prevention; (d) restoration of disturbed natural complexes and objects; (e) monitoring of natural complexes subject to anthropogenic impact; (f) scientific research; and (g) organization of environmental education system, including the creation of stands, displays, ranches. Priority objects of protection shall be: (a) landscape complexes; (b) game; (c) rare and endangered flora and fauna species, mushrooms; and (d) endemic plant species. The following activities shall be prohibited within the boundaries of protection area: (a) permanent storage of pesticides, mineral fertilizers, fuels and lubricants; (b) placement of timber warehouses (except for quarters of the forest fund transferred on lease, and the location of wood processing facilities); (c) movement of motorized vehicles outside roads, ways of general use, except for cases related to maintenance of power transmission line poles and wood processing works, forest fire extinguishment; (d) passage of cattle outside established trails; (e) hunting except for some envisaged cases; and (f) making campfires, the placement of tent camps outside specially equipped areas.
