This Government Decree establishes that minimum safety requirements in the process of operation of distribution networks of combustible natural gas set forth mandatory requirements for the design, installation, acceptance and putting into operation, reconstruction, maintenance, repair and functioning of distribution networks of flammable natural gases with an excess pressure of not more than 1.2 MPa (12 kgf/cm2), liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LPG) with an excess pressure of not more than 1.6 MPa (16 kgf/cm2) used as fuel, as well as in the manufacturing and application of materials, equipment and technological processes. Equipment and devices using gas fuel must be highly productive, reliable, and economical and ensure environmental protection. Industrial inspection and monitoring shall be performed with a view of elaboration of arrangements for improvement of industrial facilities and prevention of environmental damages.
