Lake “White Lake” shall be classified as protected area. It shall perform the following functions: (a) reproduction and replacement of aquatic, fishery and biological resources; (b) rational and regulated management of fishery resources and other biological resources; and (c) ecological monitoring and propaganda of nature protection. Water reserves of lake “White Lake” shall be conceded primarily for meeting the demand of the population for potable water and household needs. Water abstraction shall be performed in accordance with special authorization (license). The following activities shall be authorized: (a) fee-paid fishing in the period from 1 November to 1 April within established limits; (b) grazing of horses, cattle and haymaking without use of technical means; (c) collection of berries and mushrooms by the local population in the established time periods; (d) scientific and educational tourism; (e) hydro amelioration, irrigation, dredging aimed at improvement water and oxygen regime of the lake, performed in the presence of scientific substantiation; and (f) commercial hunting of fur-bearing animals in the presence of hunting authorization (license). The following activities shall be prohibited: (a) hunting for all species of waterfowl and wild ungulates; (b) navigation on motorboats and motor transport; (c) water logging; and (d) construction and placement of waterworks.
