This Chapter provides for establishing centres for carrying on a programme of research and experimentation, aimed at: determining species of fishes most suitable for culture on a commercial basis in flooded rice lands; detailing methods for production of fingerling fishes for stocking in commercial reservoirs; developing methods for the control of parasites and diseases of brood fishes; developing economical methods for raising the more desirable species of fishes to a marketable size; determining the effects on the fish and on the crops of fish-rice rotations. The Chapter also concerns: methods for acquiring lands; employment of personnel; cooperation with other government agencies.
