This Executive Order recognises the need of the Gombe government to enhance investment and promote sustainable economic development through responsible and inclusive land-intensive agricultural investments. The Order concerns: adoption of GFRILIA principles, including: minimising land acquisition, recognising and protecting land rights, ensuring transparent and fair State land acquisition, ensuring compliance with compensation standards, ensuring environmental and social sustainability against environmental damage, improving assessments of potential positive and negative impacts on tenure rights, livelihood, environment, rights and status of women. Further matters covered by this Order include: establishment, powers and functions of the GFRILIA committees; establishment of a grievance redress mechanism.
