Order on taking measures to prevent the spread and control of the Mediterranean fruit fly - Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann).

This Order prescribes measures to prevent the spread and control of the harmful organism, the Mediterranean fruit fly – Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann). The host plants of the Mediterranean fruit fly, within the meaning of this Order, are: Acca sellowiana – feijoa, Citrus x aurantium – bitter orange, Citrus x meyeri – Meyer lemon, Citrus reticulata – mandarin, Citrus reticulata x Citrus aurantium – clementine , Citrus sinensis – orange, Citrus paradisi – grapefruit, Diospyros kaki – kaki, Eryobotria japonica – medlar, Ficus carica – fig, Fortunella japonica – kumquat, Malus domestica – apple, Prunus armeniaca – apricot, Prunus domestica – plum, Prunus persica – peach and nectarine, Prunus salicina – Japanese plum, Pyrus communis – pear, Pyrus pyrifolia – nashi. Specific measures to prevent the spread and control of the Mediterranean fruit fly in endangered areas are given in article 4. Measures to prevent the spread and control of the Mediterranean fruit fly in an area of special economic importance are prescribed in article 5.
