This Executive Decree under the Petroleum Activities Law (No. 10/04), establishes the duty to explore for and produce petroleum in a rational manner and to preserve petroleum reserves, in accordance with the most appropriate technical and scientific rules in use in international petroleum practice and in accordance with the national interest. This Technical Regulation defines the guidelines for the preparation of annual information on oil and natural gas resources and reserves, the criteria for estimating hydrocarbon volumes, their classification and categorisation, and establishes the procedures for the submission of information by Operators and entities providing resource and reserve certification services in Angola. This Technical Regulation applies to Operators and entities that provide resource and reserve certification services in Angola.
