These Regulations, made under section 30 of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control Act, Cap. N1, LFN, 2004 and section 12 of the Food, Drugs and Related Products (Registration, Etc.) Act, Cap. F33. LFN, 2004, provide a regulatory framework for the regulation of the labelling of bio-fertiliser manufactured, imported, distributed, sold or used in Nigeria. The Regulations concern the following matters: labelling information; name and address of manufacturer; certificate of registration; direction on the use of bio-fertiliser; active ingredients; method of application; storage conditions; indication of trade mark or brand name; registration number; toxicological information on the label; offences and penalties.
