This Regulation sets out measures to prevent the establishment and spread within the Union territory of Aromia bungii (Faldermann), measures for its eradication, where it is found present in that territory, and measures for its containment, when eradication is no longer possible. It lays down rules as regards annual risk-based surveys for the presence of the specified pest on specified plants, sampling and testing in the case of any suspicion for the presence of the specified pest, submission of the results of the surveys annually to the Commission, the establishment of demarcated areas, and the requirements of the contingency plan.
