This Protocol has been approved by the Law No. 36-VIIQ dated 8 October 2024. The competent authorities for the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall be the Food Safety Agency and for the Government of the Republic of Belarus shall be the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The word “feed” in the first paragraph of Article 3 of the Agreement shall be replaced by the words “feed products”. This Protocol adds the definition of feed products to the third paragraph of Article 2 of the Agreement as follows: “In this Agreement, the term “feed products” shall mean unprocessed, semi-processed and fully processed products, substances and feed additives used in animal nutrition”, and the definition of feed additives to the fourth paragraph of Article 2 of the Agreement as follows: “In this Agreement, the concept of “feed additives” shall mean products (substances) of plant, animal, microbiological, mineral and synthetic origin or their combinations intended to be included in the feed, water and ration of animals in order to ensure the physiological usefulness of animals, stimulate their productivity, increase the biologically accessible properties of feed nutrients, correct the microbiological composition of feeds, ensure the safety of feed components, improve the taste and technological properties of feeds, achieve the targeted properties of animal products, and obtain the desired decorative properties of the exterior of animals.” It also makes minor amendments in Articles 3 and 5 of the Agreement.
