This Regulation authorises the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management to issue regulations on environmental considerations in aquaculture under the Swedish Environmental Code. In particular, the Agency may establish restrictions on which organisms may be bred or cultivated in different water areas and prescribe precautionary measures that must be observed in aquaculture activities.
