This Law establishes the State Programme for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship among Mothers of Children with Disabilities, Neurodevelopmental Disorders or Chronic Diseases in the State of Alagoas. Its principal objective is to foster social inclusion, economic autonomy and improved living conditions for these mothers by expanding their access to entrepreneurship opportunities. The Law is grounded in principles of equal opportunities, human dignity and social well-being, whilst also seeking to support the inclusion and comprehensive development of affected families. To achieve these aims, the programme provides for free training in entrepreneurship, business management and financial literacy, the creation of special credit lines with favourable conditions, and the establishment of support and cooperation networks among entrepreneurs. It also seeks to facilitate access to fiscal incentives for businesses led by eligible mothers and encourages partnerships with private entities, non-governmental organisations and educational institutions. Additional measures include the provision of adapted childcare facilities, flexible and hybrid training arrangements, and the creation of a monitoring committee to assess the programme’s effectiveness and recommend improvements.
