This Act provides for environmental protection. It consists of 11 articles prohibiting freshwater pollution within the State of Pernambuco and establishing the requirements to be satisfied for obtaining a licence, issued by 'CPRH' ("Companhia Pernambucana de Controle da Poluição Ambiental e de Administração dos Recursos Hídricos") for performing potentially polluting activities. This Act also concerns sanctions to be paid by offenders.
