It consists of 6 chapters, 2 tables and 2 annexes, defining types of hunting activity (personal consumption, defence and sport hunting (Chap. 1); Hunting licence requirements (2); Restrictions (including protected animal species) (3); Trophies and export requirements (4); Controls and sanctions for unauthorized hunting (5) Final provisions (6). The tables list authorized and unauthorized animal species and fines to be paid for illegal activity. Annexes list the prohibited animal species (1) and a glossary of wild animal names in Portuguese and in different native languages.
