This Act, consisting of 121 sections divided into seven Parts and completed by one Schedule, is composed by the following parts: Preliminary (1); Licensing Water Supply and Sewerage Services (2); Duties and Powers of Licensee (3); Trade Waste and Prohibited Discharge (4); Offences (5); and Miscellaneos (6) and is completed by one Schedule. The objectives of this Act are: (a) to promote the safe and efficient provision of water supply and sewerage services; (b) to establish and enforce standards of service in water supply and sewerage services; (c) to facilitate the provision of financially viable water supply and sewerage services; and (d) to protect the interests of customers.
