This Decree makes provision in implementation of Commission Recommendation of 27 December 2001 concerning a coordinated Community monitoring programme for 2002 to ensure compliance with maximum levels of pesticide residues in and on cereals and certain other products of plant origin. The Decree consists of five articles regarding the official controls to be carried out by the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces, sampling and elaboration as well as transmission of data and information to the Ministry of Health. An Annex, laying down the criteria and modalities for performing the above-mentioned programme, is attached.
