This Order approves and regulates Goose barnacle (Pollicipes pollicipes) catchment in the Natural Reserve of Berlengas. The order is composed of 3 articles and 4 annexes, in which drafed are authorized fishing locations, size, methods and license posts. The catchment may only be done during tides in the daytime (sunrise to sunset) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with manual tools or in apnoea and may not exceed more than 20kg (gross weight) a day of which half of the total volume must be constituted by “nail” size specimens or greater (25mm), as foreseen in annex IV. Maximum license numbers and criteria will be adjudicated by dispatch by the competent ministries (Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Environment and Territory Ordinaiment).
