The Veneto Region promotes and supports the extension of forest areas through the transformation of agricultural areas into areas intended to produce timber. The aim pursued is the development of the following: (a) production of renewable energy obtained from timber biomasses; (b) timber supply; (c) availability of habitats for wild fauna. To achieve these objectives, the Region shall grant the subsidies referred to in article 2. Article 3 specifies the persons and entities who may apply for those subsidies and grants. Article 5 prohibits cumulation with other subsidies granted by the European Union, the Central Government, the Region or any other public entity.
