Directive No. 22/2004/CT-TTg on the ongoing bird flu prevention and combat and quick restoration and development of poultry production and farming.

The Directive of the Prime Minister deals with the current bird flu epidemics and with the prevention, treatment, control activities to be enacted and enforced to prevent the spreading of the disease. Issues addressed are the destruction of infected poultry and the disposal of the carcasses, the fumigation and hygienic and sanitary measures to be taken out in the premises where poultry has been kept and is still kept, the selection of healthy breeds for importation, the quarantine procedures and veterinarian care.
