The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Health and Women introduces some substantial amendments to the Plastic Materials Ordinance 2003 (BGBl. II No. 476/2003). In particular, an article 8a on Compliance attestations is added. The said article establishes that all plastic objects and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs must be accompanied by a certificate confirming that they comply with the respective EU directives. Such a certificate has to be issued by the producer.
