This Chapter prescribes rules relative to food establishments including wholesale and retail outlets, meat markets and restaurants and provides rules for the hygienic handling of food. Inspection of food establishments shall be carried out under the supervision of the Director of Health who may condemn and forbid the sale of any food or drink which is unwholesome or adulterated. Standards are laid down for the handling and storage of food including frozen food, meat and meat products.
