Committee on Water Resources shall be the authorized state institution in the sphere of water resources management. The main tasks and functions of the Committee shall be: (a) state supervision over the use and protection of water resources; (b) protection of water resources against pollution, siltation, exhaustion and improvement of the state of rivers, lakes and water reservoirs; (c) issuance of water uses licences; (d) monitoring of water resources; and (d) validation of water charges.
