The purpose of the present Law is to implement and complete the Federal Soil Protection Act of 17 March 1998 (BGBl. I p. 502). The text consists of 17 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Protection of soil (II); Information system concerning the quality of the soil and contaminated sites (III); Compensation and final provisions (IV).
