The present Law lays down provisions relating to waste management in Saarland. The specific purpose of the Law is to reduce the amount of waste and to ensure an environment-friendly waste disposal management. The text consists of 43 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Organs responsible for waste disposal (II); Waste disposal plan, principles and balance-sheet (III); Waste disposal plants (IV); Authorities, competence and penalties (V).
