Ministerial Decree No. 708 validating the Regulation on mandatory fortification (enrichment) of wheat flour of extra and first categories manufactured on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Ministerial Decree stipulates that the fortification (enrichment) of wheat flour shall be carried out for the purpose of protecting against and eradicating micronutrient deficiencies of the population. Fortified wheat flour shall comply with normative and technical requirements, and shall be carried out at milling enterprises that have sanitary and epidemiological certification attesting to their compliance with food safety requirements. Rates of vitamin- and mineral-based food additives for wheat flour shall be regulated by normative and technical requirements.
