This Ministerial Decree establishes that the Uzbek Standardization, Metrology and Certification Agency (UZGOSSTANDART) shall be the state administrative body responsible for guidance, coordination and supervision of activities related to standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation and for establishing related unified rules and regulations. The Agency shall: (a) keep the State Register of certified products, and the state registration of foodstuffs and processing equipment; (b) protecting consumer rights regarding the quality and safety of products; and (c) quality control over spirits and liquors, processing, storage, transportation and sale.
