This Act provides for the establishment of the Zimbabwe Development Corporation, defines powers and functions of the Corporation and provides for the functioning and financing of the Corporation. The functions of the Corporation shall include: promotion of a balanced development of the economy of Zimbabwe through investment in rural areas and control of a subsidiary which is a statutory body of the Corporation. The President may, by Notice in the Gazette, specify any statutory body as a subsidiary of the Corporation.
