Decision No. 1440/QD-TTg approving the Planning on construction of solid waste treatment facilities in three northern, central and southern Viet Nam key economic regions up to 2020.

This Decision approves the planning on the construction of solid waste treatment facilities in northern, central and southern Viet Nam key economic regions. The planning aims at: building a network of regional solid waste treatment centres in order to treat, recycle or reuse waste, restrict waste landfill and increase the effectiveness in the treatment of solid wastes, especially hazardous solid wastes; investing in solid waste management and treatment facilities; raising the quality of solid waste treatment and improving the quality of the living environment.
