These Regulations make provision with respect to the identification and registration of cattle in Scotland. They enforce Community legislation in this field. The Regulations: specify animal tagging requirements; provide for notification to the Secretary of State of a holding if cattle are kept there; and make provision for registration of cattle, passports, notification of movement and death and for records to be kept in the form as specified in Schedule 4 to these Regulations. They also provide for enforcement and prescribe offences.
